From Sept. 12-14, rainstorms dropped more than 8 inches on Schaumburg, swamping several neighborhoods, especially near Campanelli and Terada parks. Other flooded areas were Lexington Drive and Tower Road/National Parkway. A flood report stated village departments received 498 calls for assistance during the weekend downpour that included vehicles stalled in flooded intersections.
